Anchors are electronic (IoT) devices that are statically fixed in the environment and are used to determine the location of UWB Tags. They recieve the signals emitted by the tags and forward the data to the localisation server.
Unlike traditional Wi-Fi or Bluetooth beacons, UWB anchors provide centimeter-level accuracy in real-time location tracking. They are essential for creating a precise and reliable Real-Time Location System (RTLS).
Anchors can participate in two types of localisation algorithm schemes, created by TagTrack:
TagTrack's RTLS is designed to be flexible and scalable, allowing you to choose the best localisation scheme or combination of shcemes for your specific use case.
TagTrack Anchors have a special harware signal filter and signal extending system on a chip that enables it to extend its line of sight.
Along with Tags, the Anchors provide real-time location with 30cm accuracy, and almost real-time filtered data with accuracy of 10cm.
TagTrack RTLS works on TDoA (Time Difference of Arrival) localisation method, that allows you to add as many tags you need in your area.
Combined with the adminsitration panel of the server, the Anchors can be automatically synchronized with each other, ensuring easy support and system scaling.
The Anchors are designed to be easily maintained and serviced. They can be updated over-the-air (OTA) with new firmware, and their hardware components can be replaced or upgraded as needed. An LED indicator on the PCB shows the status of the Anchor and helps with troubleshooting.
