UWB Tags for RTLS

Tags are small electronic (IoT) devices attached to the objects that need to be tracked. The tags periodicallty transmit data (blink) that is recieved by Anchors and forwarded to the localisation server for detrmining the location of the tag. Tags are user to  Track Assets,  Fleet Tracking,  Worker Tracking, and may other use cases.

Tags are available in various form factors, such as badges, industrial boxes, vehicle mountable cases. They can be powered by batteries or by external power sources. The choice of tag depends on the specific use case and requirements.

Tags can have various features such as motion detection, temperature sensing, and more.

TagTrack's UWB-based RTLS delivers precise, real-time tracking and identification capabilities. Unlike conventional indoor tracking methods, TagTrack uniquely combines exceptional 3D accuracy with extended tag battery life, effortlessly managing thousands of tags within a single environment.

Industry Standard Technologies

UWB Technology is a wireless communication protocol that uses short-range radio waves to transmit data. It is used for precise location tracking and is ideal for real-time location systems (RTLS). Apple uses it in their AirTags.

Years of Battery Life

UWB Technology is combined with Ultra Low Power (ULP) technology to provide years of battery life. Tags can be powered by batteries or by external power sources, depending on the use case.

Wearable Tag is developed for people/employee tracking. It is small, light and has a long battery life. It can be worn as a badge or a wristband. It transmits data only when it detects movement, extending battery life signicantly.

Asset Tag is developed for asset tracking. It can be attached to any object that needs to be tracked. It can be extended with varous sensors. It is IP65 rated, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It has a long battery life and can be powered by batteries or by external power sources.

Fleet Tag is developed for fleet tracking. It has extra senors such as compass and gyroscope, allowing it to provide heading of the vehicle. The tag has a IP65 rating power cable connection for connecting to the vehicle's power supply, ensuring it is always powered and ready to transmit data.

Tag Features

  • BLE Bluetooh Low Energy (BLE) is used for firmware updates and for iBeacon functionalities.
  • NFC Near Field Communication (NFC) is used for configuration and assigning the tag with the tracked object as well for system administration.
  • IMU Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is used for sensor fusion and additional parameters when tags are installed on vehigles or Above Ground Vehicles (AGV).
  • ULP ACC Ultra Low Power Accelerometer is used to wake-up the tag from its power saving deep sleep mode.
  • GPIO General Purpose Input & Output (GPIO) Pins on the PCB of the tag to help you extend its functionalities for your needs.
  • BARO Low noise and high accuracy baromether is used for the Kalman Filter of the 3D positioning and the sensor fusion.
  • SPI Bus For integrating external PCB modules.
  • I2C Bus For integrating external PCB modules.
  • UART For integrating external PCB modules & debugging.
