TagTrack RTLS Hardware

The TagTrack UWB RTLS platform operates with two core hardware components: Tags and Anchors. Tags are compact devices designed to be attached to assets, equipment, or personnel that require tracking. These tags actively transmit ultra-wideband signals, which are detected by TagTrack Anchors strategically placed throughout the environment.

Anchors function as receivers, capturing the UWB signals emitted by the Tags. The received data is then relayed to the TagTrack localization server, which calculates the real-time position of each tag. To ensure accurate and comprehensive coverage within any indoor space, multiple anchors are typically mounted above the area, forming the infrastructure necessary for reliable tracking.

TagTrack RTLS Software

RTLS Web Client is a powerful tool that runs in your browser and does not require any installation. It provides a user-friendly interface for managing your RTLS system, allowing you to visualize real-time data, configure settings, and monitor the status of your tags and anchors.

TagTrack RTLS Data Exchange

The TagTrack indoor positioning solution utilizes ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to achieve high-precision location tracking. The system operates in three key communication stages:

  1. 1. Tag Transmission: Each asset or individual to be tracked is equipped with a TagTrack tag. This device periodically emits UWB signals that are detected by fixed anchors within the coverage area.
  2. 2. Anchor Synchronization: Anchors communicate using UWB signals to maintain precise synchronization among themselves, which is essential for accurate position calculations.
  3. 3. Data Delivery: The anchors forward the received signal data to the TagTrack RTLS Server. This is most commonly done over Ethernet for maximum reliability, but wireless options such as Wi-Fi are also supported.
